About the WCA
The WCA is a well-established Boise organization that serves hundreds of children and adults suffering from domestic and sexual abuse every year. They offer several crucial resources including safe shelter, counseling, court advocacy, case management and two 24-hr. crisis hotlines all at no cost to the individuals who need them. In 2016 alone they assisted with 849 of the 982 civil protection order applications filed in Ada County, provided shelter for 152 women and children and administered 2,862 counseling sessions to hundreds of new adults and children.
They are an alliance supported wholly by the community with a history that goes back over one-hundred years. Their heart has always been focused on providing safe spaces for women and their services has developed into one of the most indispensable, comprehensive programs offered in the region. When we approached them with Music on the Water they were truly touched and excited to be a part of an event seeking specifically to cater to families for three full days.
All profits will be donated to the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.
