“Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Meet Clay. He is 16 and enjoys adventure! He loves family time, good food, video games, and experiencing new things.  In 2013, Clay and his family had to endure an epic battle with Leukemia. Immediately after Clay’s diagnosis, he began aggressive, weekly, chemotherapy, followed by radiation.  He went through 11 months of treatment and it took him months to recover his physical strength after so much time of deconditioning in the hospital. In a time filled with sadness and anxiety, Clay’s wish to go parasailing in Hawaii became a precious ray of light—a chance to see a new corner of the world, far from the pain of endless treatments.
I wish to GO parasailing in Hawaii!
Clayton, 16

Wish families are your friends, neighbors and relatives. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence; sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. For many, the wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illnesses.
Walk for Wishes Boise is an event that celebrates wishes that have been granted in Idaho, while raising funds for future wishes. This year, our Walk For Wishes Event will be at Music on the Water and kick off a family friendly weekend of sunshine and music.
A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. Make-A-Wish Idaho will grant 93 wishes for Idaho kids facing critical illnesses. Though this year we have 140 kids waiting patiently for a transformational wish experience of their own. To join us in granting life-changing wishes, like Clay’s, please visit our website.
